The Ally by Terp Logic

The Ally is an all-in-one style disposable hardware device for cannabis extracts that has a simple and compact design with "windows" on the sides to easily see how much oil is left. It has a PCTG (a more chemical resistant plastic) Tank and quartz atomizer with no cotton wick. It's a pull to draw device with a triple tap to preheat function and is rechargeable with USB-C. The Ally also has "Wave Technology" which allows the processor to set a custom temperature curve that works best with their oil. For my review I tested two units, one with the standard "wave" curve and one with a lower custom curve.

The Ally produced super thick hits for me with the two types of oil I tried (Distillate and HTFSE) 💨💨 Surprisingly not bad for how thick the clouds were but definitely harsh, especially with the HTFSE I used in the "wave" unit. The thinner oil did cause some clogging, which was minor at first but about halfway through the clogging started becoming consistently worse. I also noticed flavor started to degrade towards the end, probably why a lot of brands have chosen to do half gram pods. The distillate seemed to fair a bit better as far as clogging and flavor degradation but I did still experience some as I made my way through the gram.

Another thing to note is that the Ally absolutely rips through oil. Great for someone like me who wants to get fully medicated on the go. Not so great for someone looking to conserve their oil. I found myself accidentally tearing through about a quarter gram in one sitting on multiple occasions while doing this review 😅

Overall my only real complaint with the Ally would be that the tank isn't glass. I think the clogging issues could be worked out with some R&D and/or just filling half grams. The consumer experience on these things is just so nice and convenient. It also actually gets me medicated and doesn't leave me wanting a dab afterwards like carts do. There are plenty of reasons not to like pods but I can definitely see why they have been popular lately.

Gorilla Mintz Rind by Extractioneering Oregon

This Extractioneering Oregon x Cold Frame Farms Gorilla Mintz rind had a light smell of piney earthy gas, like minty Gorilla Glue, but also had some off smell to it as well. I'm not really sure what to say about the color and texture of the rind. It's just unappealing to be perfectly honest. If someone offered this to me at a sesh, I would respectfully turn it down. That being said, I agreed to do the review and I was generally curious how it would dab.

The answer is, not that well. It definitely had some Gorilla Glue type earthy gas flavor but it was just off. It wasn't foul or anything like I thought it might be, but it wasn't good. It also left some harshness in my throat.

The high was stoney in my head with some light relief for my body. The high wasn't bad in any way but it wasn't even close to as strong as the other products I've tried from Extractioneering Oregon. I found myself wanting another dab of something else afterwards.

Overall the Rind wasn't actually as bad as a feared it would be. I'd been putting off trying it for a while honestly but it wasn't terrible. It certainly wasn't good though. In fact, I have to go as far as to say that I would never purchase this product or consume it again after doing the review. There are just too many other options available for me today.

Grape Pie HTFSE by Extractioneering Oregon

This Extractioneering Oregon x Surfr Grape Pie (Cherry Pie x Grape Stomper) HTFSE came in a small glass vial. The oil inside had a reddish amber cured resin color to it and moved quite freely in the container. The smell when I opened the vial was very strong grape candy earth 🍇🍬🌱 and reminded me of Grape Pie I've had in the past 😋

There are several ways you can use one of these HTFSE vials and I chose to use it to fill one of the Ally pods I got from Terp Logic. The flavor was strong grape candy and earthy gas 🍇🍬🌱⛽ with some slight off taste. Vaping this HTFSE in the Ally was kinda harsh. To be fair though, the harshness could have been from the fat clouds the Ally was putting out rather than the oil itself.

The high was strong and stoney with nice body relief 🤗 Very couch lock 😴 A couple of large puffs on the Ally got me similarly medicated as my regular size dab and I didn't find myself wanting to take a dab afterwards like I do when reviewing carts 👍🏼

Overall I enjoyed the Grape Pie HTFSE quite a bit and had fun testing it out in the Ally. It had a loud nose with strong flavor and effects 👌🏼 As far as the product type is concerned though I'm not sure exactly how I would have used it if I didn't fill a pod. You can dab it, but I would think it would be somewhat difficult to portion and handle. I'm told you can use it to make some very flavorful edibles too, but I'm not sure how many people are looking for that quality of edible material just yet. It's definitely an intriguing product, I just think it's probably a little ahead of it's time.

Squirt Cartridge by Natural Roots

This Natural Roots x Oregon Dreams Squirt (Tangie x Blueberry Muffin) Cartridge had a nice strong unique sour citrus flavor that tingled my nose when vaping 🍋🍋 I don't drink soda but the taste kinda reminded me of the smell of Mountain Dew. Pretty unique profile 😋 I actually didn't know that Squirt was a grapefruit flavored soda, but after I found out I could see why this strain was named after the beverage. I noticed some slight harshness when vaping that lingered for a while afterwards but no bad flavor.

High was stoney and uplifting while also providing me with some nice body relief. I took quite a few puffs when testing the cartridge so that I could really feel the effects, but ultimately I found myself still wanting a dab afterwards.

Overall I found this Squirt cartridge to be a very good representation of quality distillate and Co2 terps. I enjoyed the flavor and the high was decent for a cart. While I don't generally recommend distillate, if you are looking for an affordable product for on the go this is one I would suggest trying. I'm glad to report that I found the tasty distillate 😋😅

Fruit Punch Live Rosin by Oregon Dabs

This Fruit Punch (Forbidden Fruit + Trop Punch) live rosin had an interesting mix of fruit flavors in the profile. Kinda orange Trop 🍊⛽ kinda fermented Forbidden Fruit 🍊🍑🍒 Great texture on the cold cured badder 👌🏼

The flavor was strong and tasted like fermented fruity trop cookies gas 🍑🍊⛽ Quite an interesting mix of flavors 😋 I noticed some slight harshness when dabbing the Fruit Punch but it didn't linger afterwards.

The high was strong and stoney in my head with some uplifting yet relaxing effects. The mix ended up giving me those strange hybrid effects that I find sometimes.

Overall this Fruit Punch mix was pretty interesting but definitely tasted and felt like a mix to me. Solid flavor and effects though and I enjoyed it quite a bit 👍🏼

GMO 5150 HTFSE on the Rocks by Extractioneering Oregon

This Extractioneering Oregon x Epoch Farms GMO (GSC x Chemdawg) 5150 HTFSE on the rocks had a light garlic gas GMO smell with sweet and sour notes. Nice cured resin color to the sauce on the rocks.

The flavor was definitely garlic gas GMO 🧄⛽ with some sweet and sour notes and slight plant/off taste and harshness to it. Not bad but not quite what I'm usually looking for.

The high was strong and stoney in my head with some great full body relief to it as well. Solid effects for me 👌🏼 I really enjoyed the high on this GMO.

Overall, I found the GMO 5150 to be pretty good but not great. As with most of the other products I've tried from Extractioneering Oregon the high was quite a bit better than the nose and flavor. If I wasn't so drawn to strong flavorful profiles, this product probably would have gotten a better review from me because the effects were very medicinal 👍🏼

Sundae Glue Live Rosin by Oregon Dabs

This Sundae Glue (GG4 + Sundae Driver) live rosin had a strong earthy gas GG4 nose with creamy notes from the Sundae Driver 🌱⛽🦍🍦 The color and texture of the cold cured badder were very nice and it was great to work with 👍🏼

The flavor was strong earthy gas that was definitely the GG4 I know and love (Clone gifted by Garden of Adam) and also had some creamy notes to it from the Sundae Driver. Dabbing this rosin was super smooth and didn't leave any harshness in my throat afterwards.

The high was stoney and uplifting while also providing some very nice body relief for me. I felt it strongly in my forehead, behind my eyes and in my shoulders 🤗

Overall I really enjoyed this Sundae Glue live rosin. It was a nice mix with strong flavor and effects. The profiles paired very well together 👌🏼 Great work by everyone involved 🙌🏼

Sugarcane HCFSE by Extractioneering Oregon

This Extractioneering Oregon x Cold Frame Farms Sugarcane (Platinum x Slurricane) HCFSE had a light sweet candy smell when I first opened the jar. There was nice color and clarity to the sauce with a thick terp layer. Mixing up the terp layer brought out a nice strong sweet grape candy nose 🍇🍇🍬

The flavor was sweet grape candy with earthy gas that tingled my nose when dabbing 🍇🍬🌱⛽ No off flavor or harshness to report. The profile reminded me of grape pie or Sensi Star 😋

The high was strong, stoney and relaxing 🤗 Very nice for my body. Serious couch lock on this stuff. Great meds for me 👌🏼

Overall I definitely enjoyed the Sugarcane HCFSE 👍🏼 Great nose and flavor with really solid effects.

Banana Runtz Live Resin by Monkland

This Monkland x High Noon Cult Banana Runtz (Banana OG x Runtz) live resin badder had a nice fruity banana Runtz nose. I'm personally a fan of banana OG and Runtz profiles and this one has a nice uniqueness to it from the banana OG that I definitely enjoyed 😋

The badder had a beautiful color and nice texture. Unfortunately I found a little spec sitting on top of the gram when I opened the jar. Not the end of the world but not something that makes for the best pictures. I removed it for the macro shots but in the interest of honest reviews I've included a picture with the spec as the last slide.

The flavor was heavy banana og gas with fruity runtz notes when dabbing 🍌⛽🍑🥭🍓 I found it to be a bit harsh, especially in my nose. I was also surprised by how gassy the flavor was considering the smell was much more fruity. I enjoyed the profile quite a bit.

The high was strong and stoney in my head and provided some very nice full body relaxation 🤗 Very nice meds for me 👍🏼

Overall I really enjoyed this Banana Runtz 🍌🔥 Great nose, flavor and effects.

Garlic Sherb Cartridge by Extractioneering Oregon

This Extractioneering Oregon x Urban Canna Garlic Sherb (GMO x Blue Sherbet) cart had a light garlic flavor on initial draw. The flavor was very peppery with notes of garlic gas that tingled my nose a lot and was pretty harsh on my first couple of puffs. Turns out I had the wattage up a little high for this cart design and turning it down helped a lot. The flavor was more sweet garlic gas but still pretty peppery/off tasting. Kinda sweet GMO but not much Sherbet. I didn't really enjoy the flavor much to be honest.

High was stoney in my head. Kind of nice for my body. Not particularly strong or impressive.

Overall I didn't really like this Garlic Sherb cart honestly. The profile was a bit too peppery/off for me and the high was kinda standard for a cart I guess. I'm willing to entertain the possibility that I ruined the flavor by taking my first puffs too hot, but if that's the case it only makes me more certain of my belief that pods/all-in-ones are the future of disposables. Having the producer preset the temp settings removes the possibility of user error and helps ensure that the consumer gets the experience the processor intended.

Bananas Sauce by Kali Ma

This Kali Ma Bananas (mix) sauce had a sort of generic cannabis smell to it. Kinda sweet and planty. The sauce had a dark terp layer on top which I mixed in before dabbing.

The flavor was pretty generic. Kinda sweet with a bit of off plant taste to it. Surprisingly not harsh but it did leave some scratchiness in my throat and nose.

The high was kinda stoney kinda relaxing. Not particularly strong or special but not bad.

Overall I would say this "Bananas" wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either. I was totally ready to give a bad review to a cheap product, but honestly for the price it's kinda hard to knock it. I wouldn't purchase this product personally, but if you are someone who finds themselves shopping in this price point I'd say give it a shot 🤷‍♀️

Papaya Hash Rosin by BNK

This BNK x Echo Electuary Papaya (Unknown) live hash rosin had a super loud fruity cheesy piney Papaya smell when I popped the lid off 🔥🔥🔥🔊🔊🔊 Great color and texture on the cold cured badder 👍🏼

The flavor was amazing when dabbing 😋 Cheesy and fruity with notes of pine that tingled my nose 🧀🍑🍓🌲 The profile reminded me of the Strawberry Guava hash rosin BNK did earlier this year, very nice 😋

High was very full body for me and quite stoney in my head. Nice and strong, super solid meds 👌🏼

Overall I loved this Papaya hash rosin from BNK and Echo 🥰 Probably the loudest hash rosin I've gotten from the rec market this year, certainly top three. Super loud, amazing profile and strong effects 🔥🔥🔥

Orange Whip Live Budder by Echo Electuary

This Echo Electuary x Ananda Farms Orange Whip (Orange Cookies x French Toast) live budder had a loud sweet orange garlic gas smell with savory dough and cream notes. The profile was very unique and complex. The budder had amazing color and the texture was simply perfection.

The flavor was a very strong and unique orange garlic gas with creamy dough notes that tingled my nose when dabbing 🍊🧄⛽🍦🍩 This profile was very unique and flavorful. It was also very smooth to dab 👍🏼

The high was strong in my head giving me that headband feeling. I found the effects to be both stimulating and relaxing. One of those strange hybrids that doesn't quite feel right to me 😅

Overall I was impressed with this live budder. Even though the profile and effects of the Orange Whip weren't really what I'm usually looking for, it's definitely very high quality and I was glad to have tried it. Loud and unique profile, perfect texture, strong flavor and effects 👍🏼

PB Souffle HCFSE by Extractioneering Oregon

This Extractioneering Oregon x Flower Smith PB Souffle (Dosidos x Lava Cake) HCFSE (High Cannabinoid Full Spectrum Extract) had a nice sweet nutty earthy gas smell when I opened the jar. The sauce had nice color with a thick terp layer 💦

I gave the extract a good stir before dabbing to mix that terp layer in. The flavor was sweet gassy and earthy with nutty notes. It was nice but not a very loud or special profile for me. I also found it had some harshness/off flavor, that lingered for a little bit after dabbing.

The high was quite strong and stoney in my head with very nice full body relaxation as well 🤗 I definitely enjoyed the effects on this HCFSE, very potent and complex 👍🏼

Overall I liked this PB Souffle cured resin from Extractioneering Oregon. The effects were very nice and the flavor was fine. Honestly this is one of those rare times where the flavor didn't match with the quality of the effects for me. Potent meds for sure.
