Mendo Breath by Trichome Farms
Trichome Farms is self-started and owner-operated with no investors, no big money and no celebrity owners. They started with just one farm facility in Dundee in 2015 and have since expanded to a second farm facility in Sherwood and will be opening their 4th retail location, located in Astoria, next month. Their current locations include Smooth Roots in Lincoln City and McMinnville, and Discovery Cannabis in Waldport.
This Trichome Farms Mendo Breath (OGKB x Mendo Montage) had a pleasant earthy citrus nose with some nice gas to it 🌱🍋⛽ It was a very savory profile with not much sweetness. The nugs were totally frosted and very dense with it's dark orange/light brown hairs fully in tact 👌🏼
The flavor was strong earthy gas in my vape 🌱⛽⛽ The flower produced very thick vapor and while the flavor didn't last as long as I'd like, it was smooth and enjoyable while it lasted.
The high was uplifting and stoney, giving me a nice solid headband effect and some good body relief without couch locking me. The effects were strong and worked well for me for daytime meds.
Overall I enjoyed this Mendo Breath from Trichome Farms. The nose was pleasant, the flavor was robust and the effects were great for medicating during the day 👍🏼

Platinum GSC Tincture by FFEPDX
Just like the tincture I reviewed the other week, This FFEPDX x Ten Four Farms Platinum GSC high THC tincture has just two simple ingredients, liquid coconut oil and FFE'S RCO (refined cannabis oil), and contains ~1000mg of THC.
This one had a strong sweet cannabis smell and flavor, which lingered for a bit when used sublingually. I have to note that the cannabis flavor was very intense. I can't recommend this one for those who absolutely can't stand the taste of cannabis. The tincture had a much more subtle flavor when mixed into water and I found that orange juice covered up the flavor pretty well. Mixing it into a flavorful beverage could work well for those who don't like the taste but it's pretty distinct. Another option would be to put the tincture into capsules and take it that way.
The Platinum GSC tincture had great medicinal effects for me and worked very well for my IBS 🤗 For the first couple days I mainly used it during the evening because I had the Tangies and Cream tincture to use during the day. However, it worked so much better that I ended up switching to using the Platinum GSC tincture all day.
Overall the Platinum GSC tincture worked very well for me medicinally. While the flavor wasn't my favorite, it wasn't unpleasant or anything and I was able to cover it up easily enough. Just like with the other tincture, I'd personally prefer to get a FECO2/RCO and make my own more potent mixture to put into capsules. I can definitely see how it's convenient to be able to get the RCO as a tincture and easily dose it without any extra work though.

Habenero-Jalapeno Citrus Syrup by Heavens 2 Betsy
Heavens 2 Betsy's proprietor is a true drug war veteran who's family had their home raided and lives ripped apart during the height of the war on drugs. She gets her love of baking from her mother, who is a professional chef and her biggest advocate. Today Betsy sources high quality organic hash rosin made by her husband, New Rose Farms, to create her small batch infused treats. From their cabin in the woods Heavens 2 Betsy creates truly farm to table edible delights for the community 💕
This Heavens 2 Betsy Habanero-Jalapeno Citrus Syrup is infused with New Rose Farms hash rosin, and has ~250mg THC in the bottle. I really liked the smell of the syrup when I opened the bottle 😋 It was very spicy and reminded me of spicy cocktails I used to enjoy back before my stomach issues became severe.
My first thought was to try the syrup with some orange juice, but I didn't have any around at the time. I decided to try a little bit by itself to see just how spicy this stuff actually was 🕵️ As someone who has always enjoyed spicy things, I have to say this was really nice 😋 The sweetness of the syrup balanced very nicely with the Habanero-Jalapeno spice 🔥 For me it wasn't too spicy at all, but I can see someone who can't handle spice having a hard time with this stuff.
I ended up getting some orange juice the next day to try with the syrup. I mixed about 2/3 of the bottle, ~165mg THC, into a glass of juice and enjoyed it with dinner. The flavor was amazing and gave the OJ a really nice spicy kick 🔥
As far as the effects, this syrup kicked in quick and got me very medicated 😎 The high was nice and stoney with an intense headband effect and strong full body relief 🤗 I found it to be very relaxing and perfect for laying on the couch and watching some TV after dinner.
Overall I really enjoyed this medicated syrup from Heavens 2 Betsy 😋 The flavor was great and so were the effects 🤗 This small batch syrup really hit the spot with its spicy kick and helped me chill out with a solid medicinal high.

Kush Mintz by Trichome Farms
Trichome Farms jumped into the rec market back in 2015 during the early
sales period and was actually one of the first farms that I purchased
flower from at a dispensary in Oregon. While their grow methods have
just recently switched to a mix of organics and synthetics, they were
strictly organic since the start, back when it was just 4 lights in a
basement, and have added in some newer synthetics in order to stay
competitive in the market. Trichome farms has also just recently started
an in-house genetics/breeding project, so look out for some Trichome
Farms exclusives in the future.
This Trichome Farms Kush Mintz
(Bubba Kush x Animal Mints) had a loud sweet and funky nose 🔊 Really
nice sweet profile with strong notes of gassy funk. The buds were super
dense and totally frosted with dark orange hairs and purple spots
throughout 🤩 Amazing jar appeal as usual from Trichome 🙌🏼
The
flavor was sharp gassy pine up front followed by sweet earthy funk
⛽🌲🍪🌱 I found the flavor to be even more complex than the smell and
the Kush Mintz vaped incredibly smooth. The vapor was also very thick
and long lasting 👍🏼
The effects were quite potent 🔥🔥🔥 giving
me a strong stoney high with a solid headband effect and intense full
body relief 🤗 The Kush Mintz couch locked me pretty hard and was very
relaxing. I honestly felt like I had taken a dab after vaping just one
bowl of the Kush Mintz 🤯 Amazing evening meds for me 🙏🏼
Overall
I loved this Kush Mintz from Trichome Farms 😋 It was some of the most
flavorful and potent flower I've had recently and I was very impressed
all around.

CBN Rich Ice Cream Cake RCO by FFEPDX
This FFEPDX x One Family Farms CBN rich Ice Cream Cake (Wedding Cake x
Gelato 33) RCO had a light sweet smell to it when I unscrewed the tip on
the dripper. The oil was basically clear with just some light yellow
tint to it. This CBN rich RCO is a mix of Ice Cream Cake RCO and hemp
CBN isolate resulting in over 18% CBN. While I have dabbed isolate
before, this was my first time dabbing a mixture like this and something
so high in CBN.
The flavor was very sweet when dabbing and
tingled my nose quite a bit. The profile was sweet cake with that
generic refined oil taste to it. I actually found the flavor to be
pretty good for a refined extract mixed with hemp isolate and it was
also very smooth to dab with only very minimal irritation left in my
throat afterwards. Additionally I felt that the Ice Cream Cake profile
was very true to the cultivar even though the generic/isolate taste was a
bit off-putting to dab.
The effects were very stoney, stupefying
really, and certainly made me sleepy 😴 I wouldn't say it helped me get
to sleep, but it did help shut my brain off. The high was kind of
strange and I'm not sure I really enjoyed it to be honest. I found it
hard to think and write this review afterwards, which I don't really
like.
Of course I had to try this CBN rich RCO in some capsules
before bed to see how that would go. I filled a capsule about 2/3 of the
way full and took it an hour before I wanted to get to bed. In about an
hour the cap kicked in giving me a nice stoney full body high that made
me quite sleepy 😴 I was able to sleep for 8 hours and I only remember
waking up once, which was amazing. I ended up trying the same thing
again the next night. While the results weren't quite as good I only
woke up a couple times during the night, which was still great.
Overall
this CBN rich Ice Cream Cake RCO worked very well for me as a high dose
edible before bed. It gave me some of the best nights sleep I've had in
a while 🤗 I didn't enjoy it as a dab though unfortunately. The effects
just felt odd to me and I wouldn't want to dab it again in the future.
This one is strictly for edibles for me but I'm curious how other
patients feel about dabbing high CBN products 🕵️ Feel free to leave a
comment with your experience if you have tried this product or something
like it!

Ananda Farms Blend FECO2 by FFEPDX
For this review of FFEPDX Ananda Farms blend FECO2, I decided to try the product two ways. With one gram I filled 5 capsules, resulting in ~150mg THC per capsule, and took one capsule a couple hours before bed in order to be able to judge the full effects and see if this blend helped me with sleep. I used a second gram to do a capsule making tutorial (make sure to check it out if you haven't already 😉), and then used those cannacaps as my daily meds in order to see how the blend worked for my regular doses.
High dose experience:
The effects came on strong about 45 minutes to an hour after taking one of the 150mg caps, with powerful full body relief and a stoney head high. The larger dose was very effective for nighttime meds for me and helped get me ready for bed with a serious couch lock and sleepy effect. I was able to get a good 6 or 7 hours rest without waking up on most of the nights I tried the high dose caps, which was very nice 😁
Low dose experience:
The Ananda Farms blend FECO2 worked very well for me for my regular low dose capsules. Taking them at regular intervals throughout the day kept my IBS pain away and my depression/anxiety at bay. I was really pleased by the medicinal properties of this blend.
Overall I loved this Ananda Farms blend FECO2 🙌🏼 Not surprising since it's a mix of 20 varieties from one of my favorite farms 😁 Highly recommend this one 💯

Platinum GSC RCO by FFEPDX
This FFEPDX x Ten Four Farms Platinum GSC (Durban Poison x OG Kush) RCO had a sweet and sour
citrus nose when I unscrewed the cap on the dripper. The color of the
oil was a light yellow with perfect clarity.
The flavor was
strong sweet and sour citrus with floral notes and strong gas that
tingled my nose when dabbing. The dab left some minor irritation in my
throat & nose and I also have to say, I didn't really enjoy the
flavor personally. It wasn't foul or bad tasting, I just didn't like it.
Often times I find the profiles taste off to me when done with Co2,
which is why I prefer hydrocarbon and solventless products for my
dabbables. Unfortunately this was one of those times and after trying
three dabs for my review, I decided to use the rest in capsules.
The
effects were stoney, almost stupefying, with some solid full body
relief 🤗 I also found the Platinum GSC to be stimulating when dabbed
during the day. Pretty complex effects.
To test the Platinum GSC
as an edible, I filled one of my size "4" capsules a little over half
way with RCO and took it before bed. It gave me a nice stoney full body
high that helped get me ready to go to sleep. I also tried some during
the day to see how it would work for my regular meds. This RCO worked
very well for my IBS 🤗
Overall while I didn't enjoy the Platinum
GSC RCO as a dabbable product, it worked quite well for me as an
edible. Generally speaking, that's how I feel about most Co2 oils and
why I only really use/recommend them as clean affordable medicine.
Sometimes I find the odd one that I enjoy dabbing, and I'm happy when I
do, but this wasn't one of them for me.

Tangies and Cream RCO Tincture by FFEPDX
This FFEPDX x Cannassentials Tangies and Cream high THC tincture is just
two simple ingredients, liquid coconut oil and FFE'S RCO, and contains
~1000mg of THC. The tincture came in a glass bottle with a 1ml dropper
in the cap and had a strong distinct orange citrus smell to it 🍊🍊🍋
I
decided to start testing this product by replacing my daytime cannacaps
with a half a dropper, ~16mg THC, of tincture. For my first experience,
I applied the tincture under my tongue and held it for 60 seconds to
allow for sublingual absorption. The flavor was actually very good and
didn't just taste like a mouthful of coconut oil. The Tangies and Cream
really came through and was a strong and pleasant orange Tangie flavor
😋
I soon noticed a nice uplifting and mood enhancing effect
followed later by the medicinal effects that I needed to start my day.
While it did work well, I found that the high didn't last for as long as
I wanted and decided to switch to adding the tincture to a beverage for
future doses. The flavor was more subtle yet still quite strong when
mixed. It's not a standard cannabis flavor like you find in a lot of
edibles, so it might be ok for those that don't enjoy that flavor, but
it definitely has a distinct taste to it.
Overall the Tangies
and Cream tincture worked pretty well for me for daytime use, however I
found it didn't work quite as well for my IBS as other meds I had
around, and decided to switch to only using the Tangies and Cream first
thing in the morning. Another thing was that the tincture is formulated
2.5x weaker than the capsules I make for myself, meaning I had to
consume 2.5x more coconut oil to take the same dose. This can add up to
quite a bit depending on how many doses I take in a day. For me
personally, I'd rather use FFE's FECO2 and make my own capsules/tincture
but I can see how this is a good option for those who don't want to, or
can't, make it themselves. The effects were a good start for my
mornings though and the flavor was very tasty 😋

Tangies and Cream RCO by FFEPDX
Today I'm going to be reviewing some RCO (Refined Cannabis Oil) from
FFEPDX. For those who don't know what RCO is, it's a full spectrum Co2
oil that is typically sold in cartridges. FFE has their RCO available in
"dripper" form so that you can dab it, smoke it or eat it (you can even
use them to fill your own cartridges or pods). These drippers are
available in both cultivar specific and CBN/CBG "rich" (cultivar
specific + hemp extract), and I'll be reviewing a few different
varieties over the next few weeks. Ok, now let's get to the review 🕵️
This
FFEPDX x Cannassentials Tangies and Cream (Tangie x Cookies & Cream) RCO came in a unique type of
syringe called a "dripper". The oil was almost clear with a yellow tint
to it. I couldn't smell anything before I removed the sealed cap, but as
soon as I unscrewed it I got a very strong orange Tangie nose 🍊🍊 with
some unique sour notes to it 😋
It was pretty easy to drip two
drops of oil into my banger and this worked well for me since I cold
start my dabs. The flavor was very strong sour orange Tangie gas 🍋🍊⛽
Quite nice 😋, but it also had just a bit of that generic/off flavor
that I usually find in refined oils. This RCO was very smooth to dab
though with just some minor nose tingle.
The high was uplifting,
giving me a strong headband effect, while also being clear headed and
providing me with a good amount of full body relief 🤗 The effects were
strong and not lacking in complexity or medicinal value 👍🏼
Since
this RCO can be eaten as is, I decided to try taking some as an
edible. I dripped two drops, about the same amount I've been dabbing,
into a capsule to try. This worked pretty well for me, giving me a nice
uplifting high and some full body relief as well.
Overall I found
the Tangies and Cream RCO to be a high quality product. It worked well
for me medicinally and had great flavor. If you are someone who enjoys
or wants to try RCO, this one is definitely worth checking out.

AfPak by No Patients Left Behind
For those who don't know, the No Patients Left Behind Collective is "a
group of growers, breeders, and patients who are passionate about making
quality medicine accessible to those who need it." They do monthly
flower drops and work with members to grow unique genetics for patients
specific medicinal needs. They also work with Landrace Preservation
Society to provide clones and seeds to the community.
This AfPak
(Pakistani Citral Kush x Mazar-i-Sharif) bred by Landrace Preservation
Society had an earthy nose with citrus notes. Pretty light smell until I
broke into the buds, which were dark green with dark brown hairs and
wispy.
The flavor was subtle yet pleasantly earthy in my vape. I
enjoyed the flavor, but it was hard to pick out anything beside the
generic earth and it generally felt lacking in flavor and complexity.
The AfPak was very smooth to vape and produced thick vapor, however the
flavor wasn't very long lasting.
The effects were stoney and full
body, yet not particularly strong. I found myself wanting a dab after
doing my reviews with this cultivar.
Overall while it was nice to
try the AfPak, I found it was lacking in every area except smoothness
for me. I would pass on this cultivar from No Patients Left Behind
personally, but it might be a good option for those on a tight budget
looking for something more affordable with a smooth smoke.

Farmer's Friend Extracts Capsule Tutorial
Part 1: This tutorial was sponsored by Farmer's Friend Extracts
Today, instead of a review, I'm going to be walking you through how I make cannacaps using Farmer's Friend Extracts' FECO2 products. Firstly, we'll need to collect a few things.
For this tutorial we are going to need:
1g of FFE FECO2
9ml of liquid coconut oil
50 empty size "4" pill capsules
This recipe can be adjusted based on the dosage you wish to make your capsules. For this tutorial I used the Ananda Farms blend FECO2 made on 01/05/22 which contains 748mg of THC. Following this recipe will result in 50 capsules with ~15mg of THC per cap. I'll include an explanation for calculating mg/capsule and creating your own recipes at the end of this tutorial.
In addition to the ingredients listed above, you'll need a syringe or dropper of some kind (the one included in FFE tinctures would work great), a small glass dish, a small whisk or fork, a heat source (preferably a flat top grill or hot plate of some kind), and a container to store your finished capsules. Also a cap filler device is incredibly helpful when filling capsules and I don't recommend trying this without one. I use a size "4" "EZ Cap Filler", and there are several other options out there from various online retailers. Just make sure you get the correct size for the capsules you are using.
The first thing to do is to preheat your heat source to 150°f. While it's warming up, separate the top and bottom of the empty capsules and fill your cap filler with the bottom halves (the longer ones) of the empty capsules, putting the top halves to the side for later. Next, transfer your FECO2 into the glass container and warm it up on your heat source until the oil becomes thin and easy to mix with the coconut oil. Personally I do this on a flat top grill for about 5 minutes or so. You don't want to get it too hot, just warm enough that it moves more easily in the glass container and will mix nicely with the coconut oil. Next, add the liquid coconut oil to the glass container and whisk together with the FECO2 until fully blended. Turn off the heat and remove the glass container from the heat source. Be careful, the glass may be warm.
Part 2: This tutorial was sponsored by Farmer's Friend Extracts
Next fill the syringe/dropper with some infused coconut oil and proceed to fill the capsules one by one. If you are using a syringe, you may want a dispenser tip to make filling easier and less messy. Carefully fill each capsule, being sure not to overfill as this can cause quite a mess. Once all 50 capsules are full, take the collection of capsule top halves and cap each capsule. Be sure to press down with some pressure, but not too much. You should press the top half down as much as possible without squishing it to fully close the capsules.
Now just collect your capsules and store them in your preferred container. That's it! I hope this tutorial has been helpful! Below are the details on how to create your own recipes.
Formulas/Calculations for creating your own recipes for size "4" capsules:
In order to create your own recipes, you just need to understand how they work and input your own numbers into some formulas. Creating a recipe for 50 capsules makes the most sense because most pill fillers can hold 50 capsules at a time and it is easy enough to double the recipe if you wish to make 100 capsules.
First, take the total mg THC in 1g of FECO2 and divide by 50 (50 capsules) in order to get your mg/capsule. In this tutorial that was 748mg/50caps = 14.96mg/cap. If the resulting number is higher than you want your capsules to be, you will need to use less than a gram of FECO2 and vise versa.
If you want to set your mg/cap at a specific number, let's say 5mg/cap, you would need to do some more advanced calculations and measure a very specific amount of FECO2. For this reason, what I would recommend for most people is to just determine how much a half gram of FECO2 would be per cap (~7.5mg/cap for the Ananda Farms blend) and using that as an increment to adjust by.
For example if you want your caps to be 7.5mg then you would need to use 0.5 grams of the Ananda Farms blend FECO2. If you wanted your cannacaps to be 22.5mg you would need to use 1.5 grams, and so on.
The maximum amount of FECO2 you can fit in 50 size "4" capsules is 10 grams (0.2 per cap). In order to figure out how many ml of liquid coconut oil you need for your recipe, simply take 10 and subtract the number of grams of FECO2 in your recipe. For example, if your recipe calls for 0.5g of FECO2 then you need 9.5ml of liquid coconut oil.
